Wes is now in Africa. He's been gone a whole week with one and half to go. We miss him, but to make the time go faster we are on a little mini adventure of our own. We've been at my parent's house for almost a week and enjoyed Liberty Day and a family reunion. I got to go see a movie with my brother. I never go to movies. I think the last one I saw at the theater was with my brother last summer? I took Taylor to the McWane Center in Birmingham and he really liked all the hand's on fun. Lilly crawled around to explore in some of the kiddie areas.
We have also gotten to see some old friends while here. One of my oldest friends Teale and her little girl Harper. Lilly and Harper accidentally were wearing the exact same dress to church! They are only a week apart and some thought they were twins? Thanks for the picture Teale. I still haven't downloaded the ones on my camera! Teale did a good job of describing Liberty Day in a small town too. We watched the fireworks from mom's driveway in our PJ's with the neighbors! Ok Taylor was the only one in PJ's and Lilly was asleep inside the whole time!
We also got to play with Eileen, Parrish and Riley. Eileen is a friend from college and Montgomery, but they live in B'ham now. Parrish and Taylor are the same age and love to play together. Riley is 3 months older than Lilly, but they are getting to be good friends.Tomorrow we are headed to stay with Wes' mom. We are planning a little fun with our neice and nephew (Taylor and Lilly's cousins) up there. It should be a fun 4th of July. I'm still waiting on Lilly to walk. She sometimes just lets go and stands for what seems like forever. She just hasn't made any steps yet. We'll see if she decides to wait for Wes to get back. Taylor took off on his own while Wes was in Africa. I thought it would sure be ironic if Lilly did the same!
