Home

We are home from our mini vacation. It was nice to be away and see some old friends and family. I was happy to be in my own bed though. I was also hoping that the kids would sleep better in their own beds too. It worked for Lilly the first night, but Taylor was up at least once in the middle of the night. Then Lilly started having problems waking up. I want to blame teething, but she still just has her two little bottom front teeth.

We have a house guest, Katie for a week. It's nice to have the company while Wes is gone. We've had some fun. She's had some studying to do for school so we try to give her some quiet too. Wes gets back in 3 days! Yeah!

The hardest thing I've noticed since Wes left this time is Taylor's attitude. It's probably a phase or stage of development not so much Wes' absence. He's very independent and thinks he is so big now that he is 4. He isn't respecting adults like I wish he would. He interrupts, talks bossy and is just down right obnoxious at times. Some times he's the sweetest thing and very polite, the next minute he is using phrases I don't approve of and is bossing everyone around.

I can't figure out how to discipline that. I've tried spanking, time out, talking etc... He'll be screaming "please don't spank me." Then turn around and next he's saying "that didn't hurt." Oh my! I am hoping that Wes' return will help straighten him out. He just runs over me some days, but when Wes is around he usually straightens up. I think it's the male reinforcement that helps.

Any suggestions out there about training little boys to be gentlemen and not just crude, neanderthals?

So I have a camera full of photos that I need to download and share. Sorry I've been too lazy or busy which ever one fits. :)
