Then I spotted a balloon in the stands. It was a 9. I just automatically thought 95 or 99. That's the years I graduated. Then I realized it was 09. That is 10 whole years since I graduated last from college!!!! Wow! Where has the time gone?
Our clothes dryer has been acting up lately. It gets hung up and instead of cutting off in the time frame I expect it keeps on running. I thought "this thing is too young to be messing up." Then I realized I have had this dryer since I graduated from college 10 years ago!!! Again...where has the time gone?
This year I will have been married 7 years, my oldest child will be 4 and I will be 2 years into my 30s. When I turned around last I was in my teens, walking the halls of SCHS and dreaming of all the things I am living now. How did that happen? Did I blink?
Taylor's birthday is this week. He will be 4, but for some reason he's been acting like a baby. He's more attached than ever to his 'blankie' and wants to be held all the time. Part of me wishes he would act more like his age and stop being so clingy. Today I was carrying him through church and passed a friend who has teens. I asked how long before they started walking on their own and not wanting to be held all the time. She said "are you kidding? I wish I could pick them up and carry them now."
Ok. So I shouldn't wish it away so quickly. I already figured out my life has gone by fast. How much faster is their's going to go? Lilly is 8 months. Just a few more months till her first birthday! Wasn't it just yesterday that we were buying that minivan in Atlanta? (For those just joining this blog read the story here.)
Well speaking of time flying. It's now way past my bedtime. It will be nice when time doesn't matter anymore.
"Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. " - James 4:14
