No Excuses

You all have left me with no excuses for not exercising!  Thanks. :)  I need to get with you Teresa on borrowing some more Biggest Loser workout DVD's.  Taylor loves them. :)

I get bored doing one thing over and over so a variety of workout videos would help.  This weekend my exercises have included, walking the neighborhood, hiking on a trail in the woods, the DVD and walking around the track at a park.  Oh and I did some swimming.  Did I mention I have a pool?  I sometimes forget.  Isn't that sad!  I am not a big pool goer so I have to remind myself there is one right here in the backyard and I should use it!

However Taylor has decided he doesn't like the pool and never wants to swim again.  This could be a problem if I want to get out there and really swim.  He loved it last year so I don't know why all of a sudden he's having anxiety attacks thinking about swimming.  Hopefully by the end of summer he'll be happy about it again.

So make sure you all keep me on task.  I have already gone for a walk today carrying Lilly on my back while Taylor rode his bike.  Except at one point he fell and I had to carry both of them!  I know I had an extra 50 pounds to carry the length of two yards.  I think that burned a few extra calories.  :)

I'm curious as to what you're using to get Lilly on your back? Do you have one of those backpack type carriers or do you use something else?

I have this wrap thing that is supposedly great for back carrying but I have yet to accomplish it because it takes an extra set of hands to hold the baby to my back while I wrap...

Teale, a friend has an Ergo carrier that works well for back carrying.

Amanda - I worry more about you back than calories lost from carrying both Taylor and Lilly that short distance! I held Will "like a baby" at the movie theater on Tuesday until he went to sleep. He's only ~40 pounds, but I could feel it the next day! I know, I'm old, too, but be careful with your back - you only get one!

Have fun with those DVDs!
