Ok. So I'm still trying to figure out the best way to save. Teale and another friend named Amanda has started a new site on savings so I have to follow theirs now. :) It's called "Chicks with Cents". Too cute! They even have cute stuff to buy as well. Check them out by clicking the link on the left.
I am still working on a good fitness routine too. I wish I was motivated to do something every morning or night. But I just get it in when I can. Mostly I try to walk, but it's getting too hot to do that in the middle of the day. Going at night is better, but our neighborhood is soooo dark. We don't have street lights or sidewalks and there are wild animals I know of out here so it makes me nervous.
So for Mother's Day I was given a Biggest Loser workout DVD. I actually watched it today and really enjoyed it. Lilly was taking a morning nap and Taylor decided to exercise with me. That was cute. :) So I don't have many excuses to not get some kind of work out in. Rain and darkness don't stop a person from working out with a DVD. :)
Speaking of Biggest Loser. I was not too happy with the results of this week's finale. Love the show and I got all emotional watching this season. The winner, Helen, was not my favorite. I thought she should have been voted off weeks ago. Oh well. She played the game for sure. I was impressed that she was 48 and the at home winner was 64! Age is not an excuse anymore either. It probably helped them to not have kids at home and maybe being retired to have more time to work out. Wouldn't that be nice. I did feel sorry for the girl (Aubrey?) that has 5 kids and hadn't lost any since leaving the camp. She had maintained which is better than gaining, but can you imagine getting everything done with 5 kids! I have enough trouble doing that with 2.

I have no idea where you are in relation to a mall, but are you close enough to one that you can go there to walk? We walk at one of our local malls. It is a nice, temperature-controlled environment. There are lots of mall walkers (it's best to go before the mall opens) and the mall office can give you info on how many laps around equal a mile.
I have Wii Fit. I haven't used it in forever and I don't have an excuse. Maybe I'll start again...

I LOVE those Biggest Loser DVD's the workouts are great! And the one I have lets you break it up so if you only have 10 minutes you can get an easy 10 minute workout in.
A mall is not a bad idea. The only thing that keeps me from going there with kids is the carousel and ice skating rink. Taylor would ride the carousel all day and he wants to skate, but what to do with Lilly while we skated? Good idea though. That maybe a fun summer excursion rather than a regular affair. :)
I think letting Taylor exercise with you is great! It gets him moving and burns his energy (wears him down!) and it shows him how important it is to exercise because he sees Mommy doing it alot. Maybe that will help with the motivation. I suffer from the same lack of will power. Exercise, bible study, etc. If only I could spend the amount of time I do on my blog and FB in more productive things...I can dream...
I have a couple of the Biggest Loser DVD's that I would love to loan to you. Just let me know---I used them when I was keeping kids at the house. Now I get to go to Planet Fitness three mornings a week.
If you are a member of the "Mall Walkers Club" (it is free) you can walk before they open and neither the carousel or skating rink is open before 10:00. Load them up in that two seater stroller and window shop!
We've got a couple of Biggest Loser DVDs at work that some of my co-workers and I use. They are definitely challenging but good!
Another idea is walking on the track at the Life Center, if you're going to be in town anyway. You could push Lilly and let Taylor just run wild all over the floor downstairs. Or better yet, let them hang out in Daddy's office for a while... :)
