In one month we will be on our way to Malawi, Africa for 7 weeks! I am still getting my head wrapped around this. I have so much to do in the meantime. I want everything to be set up in our home so I don't have to worry about it while we are away. I have lessons to finish before leaving and I have money to raise. I almost feel like getting away from all this hustle and bustle will be like a kind of vacation. Then I remember I am going over to work and not sit around. Guess I'll slow down when school starts back. :)
This past month has been a whirlwind of news events. Tornados, royal weddings, terrorists killed... For a few days I really thought this was the end and things were going to get really crazy. Taylor straightened me out (or God sent a message through Taylor directly to me). We were watching the royal wedding and I tried to explain to Taylor that the prince had just married the princess. Taylor's response was "How can there be a prince when there isn't even a king in Alabama except God?"
Taylor was right. There aren't kings in Alabama except God and it reminded me that He is in charge of all things. There is no need to worry even if the world seems to be spiraling out of control.
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38
