11 Months of Lilly

You probably thought Lilly would be one before I got this post out.  :)

She is officially 11 months and walking!  Almost running at times really.  She is so proud of herself when she gets going.  She can 'chase' Taylor and better yet she can 'run' from him now! 

Lilly is babbling more, but still not really saying anything.  I think she is getting Thank You down as it sometimes sounds like she says that and in context too.  She waves good and does a few signs like more, milk and occasionally please.  She really likes to grunt though.  She likes to have bows put in her hair.  She actually stops to let me put it in and she doesn't take them out.  Unfortunately her hair is still too thin and fine to really hold the bow for long.  

Lilly is also sporting a little attitude these days.  She will let you know if she wants to eat something or not.  Food often gets thrown or pushed violently away.  But she likes to share.  She has also gotten a bit attached to me.  The last few times we've taken her to a babysitter or grandmother she has fits for a few minutes as I leave.  She gets better while we're gone, but as soon as I return she is jumping for joy and practically eating me she's so happy to see me.  

Oh and did I mention it was Taylor's first day of Pre-K 4 last week?  Yes he was so excited to be going to school.  He does not hesitate when going in the classroom.  He loves being away from home and mommy.  Sometimes that is a little sad, but today it was awfully nice to have a quiet morning with him gone and Lilly sleeping.  And now he wears himself out enough to take a nap again!  Yeah!  He will be reading by the end of the year I just know it.  He already wants to spell everything and recognizes lots of words.
