AGAPE

For the past several years I have helped with a fundraiser for Agape of Central AL.  Each Fall they sell pecans to raise money and I am a "congregational representative" for our church.  

AGAPE is a great organization that helps to find homes for children (foster and adoptive) as well as counsel pregnant women.  In an effort to reach more young people they now have a Facebook page .  So if you are a Facebook fan join the AGAPE page and help spread the word.  Here are a few of the surprising statistics about pregnancies in the U.S.

-Half of all pregnancies in the United States are unplanned - about 3 million.

-More than half of all unplanned pregnancies are to unmarried women under age 30.

-Four in ten unplanned pregnancies to all women end in abortion.

-Four in ten unplanned pregnancies to unmarried 20-somethings are to women with some college education or more.

-Unplanned pregnancies are more likely to end in abortion among women with higher levels of income and with at least some college education compared to women with other levels of income and education.

AGAPE wants to teach purity to more young people.  Won't you help by starting with those in your lives?
