Surgery Part 1

We are now sitting in the surgery waiting area at UAB. Lilly went back about 8am and was just so sweet and peaceful looking in that isolet. She didn't even flinch on the "bumps" in the hallway. We had a parade of grandparents and great-grandparents following us down the hall. Lilly is already a little "diva". :)

We now have about 20 people with us from family to church friends. It has been a great blessing. We hope to be here waiting about 1-2 more hours then Wes and I can go back to see her in the CICU.

Thank you for all the prayers. We'll try to update with more as soon as we can after the surgery.

We have learned about something called Bravery Hearts that kids get for all their hospital procedures. For older kids it gives them something to "look forward" to. For Lilly it will help "tell her story" as each bead represents something different that she experienced. To raise money for the volunteer program they sell necklaces and bracelots for grownups to wear. So if you see any of us with these big red heart necklaces now you'll know why.
