Will you pray for me?

These are the words of my not quite 3 year old son today. Sometime around dinner Taylor started complaining of a stomach ache. He just looked at me and said "will you pray for me?" So I did and we proceeded to eat dinner. Later Wes and his dad were working in our bathroom where we are installing new tile. They told Taylor he couldn't come in for awhile (he's been their little helper) Well Taylor came to me and just said "I'm sad. Can you pray for me to be happy?" So I did and immediately he was bouncing off the walls!

I haven't decided yet if it is the faith of a child or "the prayers of a righteous man (or woman) that avail much" in this situation yet, but in any case it made Taylor feel better. Such a sweet innocent being to come ask for prayer like that. I guess in some ways it was both his faith and my prayers that God worked through. It definitely got me thinking more like a child and wanting to pray more in faith.
