Music

I am hopelessly in a music time warp. I have always loved music of all kinds. I was always listening to the radio in middle and high school. I was usually listening to the pop/top 40 stuff, but I love oldies too. Country was never my favorite unless it was Patsy Cline. I would say that now I listen to mostly Contemporary Christian and have since college (8 years+). I couldn't really tell you anything about current top artists or what they sing. I surprised myself on the cruise recently when I beat my brother at a music trivia contest. It's amazing to think I have any clue about music at all these days because the majority of the time the radio is on whatever Taylor wants to hear. His favorite is the Rhino song from a CD we bought in South Africa this summer. We did get him to like some Christmas music for a month, but now that's over.

I am increasingly liking the songs on Taylor's cartoons. I was just doing a search for some music to download on Itunes. We have a 14 hour drive to TX next week so I was planning ahead to help occupy our time. I think my new favorite songs are from Lazy Town and Diego. I've never been cool about music, but now I'm really in a funk as the most current songs I know are from cartoons. I guess it just goes down hill from here. The small moment in time I could have been cool has passed. However I am having fun and at least right now Taylor wants me to dance with him during the Doodlebops song "Get on the Bus". :)

Here's a picture of me with my music trivia gold medal on the cruise. Ironically that day I was wearing the Olympic shirt Wes bought me in China. :)
