NKOTB

Yes I did. I watched New Kids on the Block perform for the first time in 15 years this morning on the Today Show. NBC really should have gotten a ratings boost for this one. I wasn't really a huge NKOTB fan back in the day, but everyone I knew was so I followed along and even went to a concert once.

I went way back while watching this morning but what I thought was funny was here were a thousand or more 30-40 somethings doing the "Hangin Tough" arm wave and singing along to "The Right Stuff." It was funny to see that til I turned around and Taylor was up on the fireplace "stage" waving his arms too and holding a "microphone" in the other hand. :)

There was also the one lady in the crowd I spotted who looked like she wanted to really go back and had her hair and t-shirt done like it must have been in 1992. Granted it was raining pretty hard in NYC today so maybe it was just the wet look?

At first I thought the group was a little out of practice with their dancing then I realized it was the wet stage they were having to be careful on. I wasn't impressed with the half dressed in sports bras dancers behind them. NKOTB was in these nice suits, but their dancers were in bike shorts and sports bras. They clashed to me, plus if you're gonna wear something that skin tight and revealing on stage, please be aware of how it looks on you before hand. :)

Well that's my take on the trip back down memory lane. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out and will they get new fans or just appease the old ones. I see several preteens cringing at the thought of going to a NKOTB concert with their mom right now. :)

That's so funny Amanda as I happened upon the show this morning also. They didn't sound that great to me, but I never thought so years ago either just like you. It was definitely interesting and I totally agree with you about the dancers, random. I just can't believe they are back and that the fans are still swooning over them after 15 years. Oh the days.
