Crown of Thorns

Last night just before bedtime we were surfing channels on the T.V. Taylor was in my lap and we were somewhere around all the religious channels on DirectTV. First Taylor wanted to stop at the channel were some guy was preaching because he said they would sing next. :) When I changed it to the Catholic channel he wasn't impressed with the nuns reciting the rosary, but about that time a picture of Jesus wearing the crown of thorns came up. Similar to this picture only there was a little bit of blood running down his face. Taylor was mesmorized. I asked if he knew who that was and he said no. I asked who did it look like and he said "Jesus" in a tiny whisper not blinking an eye. Then he said "but he's messy. We gotta clean him up." All I could think of then was just how messy Jesus got for all of us. I wish I could have cleaned him up too, but he had to get messy so I could be clean. Thankfully our Father cleaned Jesus up in his resurrection and continues to clean up our messes daily. Thank you for sweet little innocent minds that remind us of the complicated mess we make of things and thank you Jesus for taking on all that muck and grime to save us.
